Most of the times moles do not alter the look.
Some, even enhance the look, so called beauty moles. There are those, youngsters, who do not like them, specially on the face, even though small and few.
Then there are big ones, covering large part of the face or the body. They give very undesirable look to the person.
So how can they be removed for cosmetic reason.
· It is always better not to remove moles, unless they are really not nice.
· Small moles are removed surgically. Usually, the result is good.
· If big, they cannot be removed surgically; there are lasers which decrease the pigmentation in some type of moles. You need to inform of the cost and outcome of laser treatment carefully.
· A simple way is camouflage or covering the mole/birthmarks with makeup, when possible. This is easy, cheap and works.
